I kind of feel bad for Hartnett here

I kind of feel bad for Hartnett here - he does try. But the whole thing is so ham handed. It is less a harrowing story of survival and more 'dumb guy survives despite himself'. I don't want to make light of the real life suffering here, but it isn't cinematic. Also, I like Hartnett, but geez the guy has one look on his face - like he is having a particularly tough time with #2. That all said, it wasn't the worst thing I have ever seen.

Completely implausible. Would have died within 2 days without adequate clothing or shelter to guard against the sub zero temperatures. Not to mention the lack of food or water. When a survival movie loses credibility, it becomes farce rather than inspirational

Couldn't get past the opening; the stopwatch alarm counting: 1, 2, 3, 10. That immediately told me: they don't care about this, so why should I?
