Plot summary

A three year self-described labour of love, 2040 takes the form of a visual letter from the filmmaker to his four-year-old daughter Velvet, showing her what the year 2040 could look like “if we simply embraced the best solutions that exist today.”

How would you like to receive news suggesting

How would you like to receive news suggesting environmental changes to our daily lives that we can contribute, if abled? This documentary, out of many familiar tackles, provides a light to the dimmed hope with passionate urgency as the core optimism is the comprehensible essence that solidified the engaging deliverance. Though it’s slightly manipulative between that and its prompt, it’s thoughtfully undeniable about the spoken innocence carrying more knowledgeably dedicated weight than most based on varying perceptions we need to start questioning. This is effectively well-researched with decent hypothetical visuals, even when merely an equivalent to a conversation starter that shall echo to the societal impacts it’s soundly proposing. (B+)
