Ayuko Tsukahara's 1st Kiss is a beautifully layered romance, using a simple time travel mechanic to tell a story of grief & a rekindling of a marriage gone wrong. Blending a nice amount of humour with the right amount of Asian melodrama, its a captivating watch through & through.

It’s basically a mashup of We Made a Beautiful Bouquet, Groundhog Day, and Eternal Sunshine—but the 'save the mid-life marriage' version. The fantasy elements keep things interesting, but the time-travel logic is full of holes. The plot and acting felt way too forced for my taste. It might work for a younger audience, but for adults, it comes off as a bit juvenile."
