Plot summary

Paris, in the early 1990s: a group of young activists is desperately tied to finding the cure against an unknown lethal disease. They target the pharmaceutical labs that are retaining potential cures, and multiply direct actions, with the hope of saving their lives as well as the ones of future generations.

120 BPM (Beats Per Minute) is one of my all-time favorite films and a movie that completely lived up to its reputation. From the very beginning, it feels authentic, emotionally powerful, and deeply human. Few films have drawn me into their world as effectively as this one. What makes it so memorable is the way it balances personal stories with larger themes without ever losing sight of its characters. The performances are outstanding, the direction is confident, and the energy throughout the film is remarkable. Every scene feels meaningful and contributes to the overall experience. By the end, I was left with a lasting appreciation for what the film accomplished. It is moving, thought-provoking, and beautifully crafted from start to finish. For me, 120 BPM (Beats Per Minute) is an exceptional achievement and an easy 10/10.
