Plot summary

A mythic motorcycle tale of father and son, this is the story of Manuel Galloway, also known as "the King of Cali", the president of a motorcycle club whose members are all African-American men, mostly white-collar workers who exchange their suits and ties at night and on weekends for leather outfits and motorcycle helmets.

In order to appreciate this movie, you have

In order to appreciate this movie, you have to love bikes—and big four-cylinder bikes must have a special place in your heart—because the movie itself, the story, and the justification for its existence are just ridiculous. But it is amazing in itself that such an amazing cast, delivering amazingly good performances, accepted to be in such a horrible movie. I think they must have a special love for it, and somehow I sensed it; I felt it. I’m pretty sure the movie is going to gain a cult following over time. Between the Muzzy exhausts screaming and the four-cylinder engines delivering the real sound of the bikes—not that Ducati shit with a Yamaha R6 sound in the background—the sounds were carefully crafted. I think this movie is a love letter to real street bike racing and bike lovers. Still bad, though... it’s horrible... but I have seen it like 20 times already. I am a four-cylinder lover anyway, so... It cannot get any worse than Torque anyway. If you love bikes. Give it a chance

This movie is great. Not sure why there's so many bad reviews except for maybe the racism. As a motorcyclist this movie is great to watch.
